Second Street Gallery is so pleased to present This Familiar Space, an exhibition of truly collaborative work that all started with an invitation to create, to connect.
The exhibition’s format responds to the current COVID-19 crisis and the necessity to maintain social distancing. Originally scheduled to open to the public at Second Street Gallery’s gallery space in the City Center for Contemporary Arts building in Downtown Charlottesville, Second Street Gallery has been forced to explore alternative digital spaces with online exhibitions and virtual programming.
By taking the exhibition online, Second Street Gallery is able to expand its reach beyond just Charlottesville and the surrounding areas. This Familiar Space has turned into a global exhibition, accessible to everyone with internet access.
